An update for those that want to know what’s happening with California’s proposed market-based feed-in tariff–
You many remember that in August, staff at the Energy Division of the California Public Utilities Commission proposed a 1 GW program. In response to the proposal, parties to the proceeding filed comments on October 19, and then replies to the comments on October 26. You can find our opening comments here and reply comments here, and the entire thread of everyone’s submissions here.
Next step: Commission staff collate the comments and provide their assessment, and the Administrative Law Judge writes a decision. That’s where we are right now–waiting for the ALJ. Once the ALJ’s deliver’s his proposal, the Commissioners may write an alternate decision of their own if they feel that the ALJ’s needs tuning. Then the matter is scheduled for deliberation and a vote at an upcoming meeting.
But right now, we are just waiting on the ALJ.
