A few weeks ago, Vote Solar put out the call for bumper sticker slogans for solar EVs. We got back hundreds, and they ranged from humorous, to lewd, to wonky, to brilliant. Turns out, you Vote Solarians are not only smart, you’re downright hilarious.
But why bumper stickers you may ask?
We want to highlight the connection between EVs and solar. Solar can be a part of the transportation solution, contribute to energy independence and getting off foreign oil, and proves that dealing with climate change is a net benefit to lifestyle, not a big sacrifice. Solar EV means low costs to power your car with the safest, most home-grown form of energy; and truly zero emissions.
We want to change the conversation about solar in transportation and energy usage, replace more fossil fuel with solar as an energy source, and get people active on this cool solar issue.
So here’s the deal: we want to spread the word about solar EVs. We think they’re super cool and a key to making the solar revolution happen. So what better way to show our strength then to get these stickers out to you folks for free.
Vote Solar wants to see these stickers out far and wide, and we want pictures of you rocking them. That’s right- we send you a free sticker, you send us a shot. We’ll be adding those pictures to an online album that will help us communicate how many people across the US are jumping on EV wagon and using the sun to power up.
Now, we understand that not everyone has an EV or access to a solar charging station, but regardless of your wheels, the more shots we get, the more proof we have of solar EV support, and the better our case for implementing steps toward solar-powered vehicles.
