Major solar victory to report! Thanks in part to consistent citizen pressure, the Pennsylvania legislature approved $180 million in funding for solar energy projects on July 4th. Governor Rendell approved this funding level a few days later. $100 million of the funding will go towards rebates for rooftop systems and $80 million will be reserved for large-scale solar projects. The Solar Alliance and Penn Futures were quite instrumental in this victory.
