We have heartbreaking news from Hartford. After Connecticut lawmakers valiantly passed comprehensive renewable energy and energy efficiency legislation in the final hours of 2010′s session, lame duck Governor Rell bowed to the energy-powers-that-be and vetoed the bill. That’s right: Rell said “No” to Connecticut’s clean energy future.

Now we have one more chance to keep effective solar policy from being shelved for another year. Legislators can override the Governor’s veto with a SUPERmajority vote in a special session. Sounds exciting doesn’t it? That means a two-thirds majority in both the House and Senate.

It would be an underdog win of Rudy proportions. But with strong bi-partisan support already built, our clean energy coalition is going to give it a fighting try. If you live in Connecticut, we could sure use your help to voice support. Take Action

Nobody said reinventing our entrenched energy market was going to be easy.  With your help, we’ll get em yet.
