This September, Vote Solar will be pedaling from NYC to Washington, DC to raise funds and awareness for our work. It would be a whole lot more fun with you along for the ride -- will you join our team?

The east coast Climate Ride is an epic, fully-supported five-day bicycle adventure that benefits Vote Solar and other hard-working climate organizations. We have two great ways for you to get in on the action:

1. Ride with us as part of the Vote Solar team. Does a part of your soul long for the atavistic pull of the open road, the wind in your hair as you roll through the green hills of Pennsylvania, following a lodestar as ancient as our species? Well, your bucket list just got shorter. In addition to our thanks for going the extra mile(s) for the solar cause, we’ll provide Vote Solar team jerseys, prizes for top fundraisers - and campfire sing-alongs, if you’re lucky.

2. Donate to help the Vote Solar team meet our fundraising goal. If you can’t ride yourself, consider helping us cover those miles and more with a donation. Your dollars will help us raise solar awareness and directly fund Vote Solar’s advocacy work. And earn our deep appreciation for your kindness.

Like biking hundreds of miles across multiple states, the work we do to repower our grid with sunshine is no easy task. With fossil interests fighting back against solar progress like never before, the challenges ahead loom large. The Climate Ride is a fun way to help us grow to meet those challenges head on and advance the solar cause in more states.

Vote Solar's own Adam Browning, Peter Olmsted, Rosalind Jackson, Susannah Churchill and Ashley Malyszka will be riding along with hundreds of other sustainability supporters - hopefully that includes you.

Here’s a link to the route and more information about the NYC-DCride itself. If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to email ashley(at)votesolar.org, and she’ll get you sorted.
