Ronny Sandoval leads Vote Solar’s regulatory efforts to transform the electric system and maximize opportunities for sustainable energy in the Interior West.
Ronny has extensive experience across major segments of the utility business, including, Transmission Planning, Distribution Engineering, Energy Efficiency Program Management, Grid Modernization, and Customer Engagement. He previously managed national efforts to modernize the electric grid through regulatory proceedings, partnerships, and effective communications as Senior Director at Environmental Defense Fund. Ronny also led various efforts in developing long-range system plans and expanding the role of distributed energy resources to meet the ongoing energy needs of customers at Con Edison.
Ronny holds a B.S. in Mathematics from New York University and a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He earned his M.B.A. from New York University Stern School of Business. Ronny currently serves on the Board of organizations that champion the transformation of the electric grid, workforce development, and customer empowerment, including GridWise Alliance and Interstate Renewable Energy Council.
