The Midwest Director will develop and direct legislative and other public-facing campaigns in the Midwest. They will develop Vote Solar’s legislative & public-facing campaign strategy in key states within the region. This will involve developing an understanding of solar and energy justice opportunities in target states across our five program areas of rooftop solar, community solar, utility-scale solar, grid modernization, and access & equity. This position will be remote, but ideally be based in Minnesota or Michigan, with other locations within the Midwest considered. This position will report to the Senior Regional Director, Midwest, and will work closely with Midwest teammates based in Chicago.
Regulatory Director, California
The California Regulatory Director position will require both strategic thought leadership in advocating for technical solutions before state regulatory bodies, and collaborative coalition building and management in getting those solutions implemented. This person will work closely with the Vote Solar West Regional Team, including communications and grassroots organizing experts to advance concrete goals in regulatory and legislative venues.
Senior Regional Director, Southeast
The Senior Regional Director (SRD), Southeast, is a position that will manage Vote Solar’s Southeast team, ensuring we are running strategic, equitable and impactful solar and energy justice policy campaigns and regulatory interventions. Reporting to the National Programs Director, this position will serve as part of the national SRD management cohort, and work in close collaboration with the Philanthropy, Communications, and Access & Equity Departments to further our mission in the Southeast. In the first year you will be managing a team of 2-3, working to advance campaigns and regulatory dockets in the priority states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Georgia. Over time we have ambitions to create a 5-6 person regional team.
