Whether I’m at my home in Chapel Hill or on the road working to expand solar opportunity throughout the Southeast, I start each day with a simple thought: what is one thing I can do today that will make a difference for my daughters? At the age of 33, I realized that I had to get off the bench if I really wanted to make a difference and decided to go to law school to become an environmental lawyer. At Vote Solar, I am privileged to have the opportunity each day to work with people like you and help families and communities take control of their energy decisions with access to clean, affordable solar power. And at the end of the day, I can reflect with a simple question: Did today move us in the direction of making the world a better place?

As a part of Vote Solar, you are not just transforming our energy future, you’re transforming lives. Will you join me in building that brighter clean energy future by making a year-end donation of just $10, $25 or more?

Your support will keep solar shining in the Southeast in 2019…

  • Work to make rooftop solar more accessible in the Carolinas and Virginia and protect people who use solar from punitive fees
  • Create and support new community solar programs to expand the benefits of solar to all families
  • Level the playing field as solar becomes the most affordable option available

It can be hard to know where to start when you set out to tackle big problems. One thing you can do right now is make a year-end donation to speed clean energy progress.
