Sunshine, Pumpkin Pie, and You.
With Thanksgiving upon us, I wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on all has happened over the last year and to thank you for all you’ve done to support and strengthen our work.
Solar is energy democracy. It puts the power of participation and decision-making in the hands of all rather than the few. The sun has been getting up every morning to do her part—and I thank you for doing yours. Whether you signed a petition to a state leader, shared one of our emails with friends or family, put solar panels on your roof to charge your electric car, celebrated with us at Equinox (East or West) or made a donation, we are grateful for all you’ve done to take part.
Abraham Lincoln (if the Internet is to be believed) once said: “I am a firm believer in the people. If given the truth, they can be depended upon to meet any national crisis. The great point is to bring them the real facts, and beer.” You’ve responded admirably to the facts (if not the beer), and for that we are thankful.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be taking you on a trip around the country, through what we are calling “the United States of Solar,” to show you exactly what you’ve helped us accomplish this year.
In the meantime, treat yourself to a little extra pumpkin pie and know that we deeply appreciate you!
