Vote Solar was a key partner in the broad coalition that worked tirelessly to pass California’s groundbreaking 100% clean energy bill. This powerful coalition brought together local communities, clean energy advocates, environmental justice and equity groups, youth voices, scientists, health experts, union representatives, religious leaders, business voices, and more.
Helping More Families Save with Solar
The future of rooftop solar is at stake this year, as the California Public Utilities Commission prepares to update the state's net metering policy. We're advocating to keep rooftop solar growing to fight the climate crisis and build a safer, more resilient grid, make battery storage standard, and bring rooftop solar and storage to more low-income families and underserved communities.
No New Gas in Any Californian Communities
When the California Public Utilities Commission was considering burdening more communities with new polluting fossil fuels, we mobilized action with our environmental justice partners. The CPUC listened and dropped gas from from their proposal, while committing to major large-scale clean energy investments. Together, we achieved a major win for protecting communities from the health, climate and financial dangers of fossil fuel pollution.
