Annie Lappé, Deputy Director
Annie oversees Vote Solar programs, working to ensure that our people and programs are high impact. She rejoined Vote Solar after managing government affairs in the Interior West for SunEdison. Elizabeth Brooks, Operations Director
Elizabeth manages the financial, compliance and operational aspects of running our multi-state 501(c)3 organization. She joined Vote Solar from Fenton Communications, where she served as Chief Financial Officer.

 

RosalindRosalind Jackson, Director of External Relations
Rosalind manages public communication including media and member relations for Vote Solar. Previously she spent five years directing PR campaigns for clean energy and sustainable business innovators. Nicole leads resource development efforts at Vote Solar. She has close to 15 years experience supporting the institutional growth of regional, state and national advocacy organizations working on environmental, social and economic issues. Susannah directs our distributed solar advocacy efforts in California and other West Coast states. Prior to joining Vote Solar she was a Senior Regulatory Analyst at the CPUC and an Advisor to a Commissioner at the CEC. Jessica is responsible for advancing solar policy in CO, NM, UT, NV, and AZ. Prior to joining Vote Solar, she served as Solar Program Coordinator and Sustainability Strategist for the Denver Mayor’s Office. Scott Thomasson, Program Director – New Markets
Scott leads our work on shared solar and the Southeast. Prior to Vote Solar, Scott was president of the policy consulting firm NewBuild Strategies LLC. During his years in the United States Senate, Scott served as legislative counsel to the late Sen. Robert C. Byrd (D-W.Va.) and as professional staff for the Senate Appropriations Committee. Scott holds a B.A. in economics from Georgetown University and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He is based in Washington, D.C. [email protected]

Sean manages our campaigns in the Northeast. RickRick Gilliam, Program Director – DG Regulatory Policy
Rick is focused on rate case and regulatory intervention nationwide. He was formerly Vice President of Mountain West Government Affairs for SunEdison and held prior roles at Western Resource Advocates, the Public Service Company of Colorado and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Jim leads Vote Solar’s grid integration program focused on making the operational and planning changes needed to repower the western grid with solar and other clean energy technologies. Nathan focuses on regulatory design for distributed generation in the eastern U.S. Prior to joining Vote Solar, Nathan was a Senior Economist at the Massachusetts Dept of Public Utilities. Nathan holds degrees from Willamette University and Tufts University. He is based in Boston.  [email protected]
