Sustainable Engineering Associate, Blacks in Green

Wasiu works at the intersection of environmental sustainability and economic development. He serves as project development lead on a 9-megawatt community-owned solar projects dedicated to mostly low- and moderate-income subscribers. What drives Wasiu is the need to address the climate emergency with the tools of economic development in a way that does not replicate the mistakes of the past while creating ownership, wealth and comfort for underserved communities in the process.
