Foundation Partner Highlight
The Barr Foundation has been a steadfast supporter of Vote Solar since 2015 with the goal of advocating for the expansion of renewable energy in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
During a partnership marked by stable, long-term funding, Vote Solar has been able to educate partners and decision makers on a new set of clean energy priorities that contributed to the passage of strong climate laws, representing a monumental achievement for the entire region. Additionally, Barr has contributed strategic guidance and capacity building support for Vote Solar’s diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging work.
The Barr Foundation’s Climate program supports equitable solutions to climate change that originate at the local level through three strategies: clean energy, mobility, and climate resilience. Its work focuses on those disproportionately affected by climate change and organizations centered in equity. Partnerships like the one with Vote Solar drive meaningful progress in the transition to an equitable, just clean energy future.
