Shabnam Nadiya

As Vote Solar’s Philanthropy Writer, Nadiya provides support to the organization’s fundraising activities. Solar energy is a new field for her and she brings to her role, curiosity, energy and enthusiasm.

In the past, alongside her work as a writer and literary translator, she taught undergraduate and graduate classes both in her native Bangladesh as well as in the US; she also worked as an editorial consultant with non-profits, international aid agencies, and private trusts. Nadiya has an MFA in Creative Writing from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and an MA in English Language and Literature from the University of Dhaka.
