It might be the first day of fall, but it sure feels sunnier

What a day.

While California (population 39 million) recently adopted a 50% renewable standard, India (population 1.2 billion) is set to adopt 40% renewable standard.

Pelican watching the sun rise

Today, a bunch of little companies (Goldman Sachs, Walmart, Nike, Johnson & Johnson, Procter and Gamble, etc) joined Facebook, Google, Amazon, Apple in adopting 100% renewables. These are some of the most profitable and admired companies in the world!  And for the tech companies, it’s not like electricity isn’t important to them.  It’s their main ingredient, up there with math.

Pope Francis (population 1.1 billion) just spent the morning at the White House calling for urgent action on climate change.

Goldman Sachs just called ‘peak coal’ and coal futures plummeted.

It might be the first day of fall, but it sure feels sunnier.
