New era, new logo for Vote Solar
After more than a decade with our trusty Golden Gate Bridge logo, we are excited to unveil a new look for Vote Solar.
We have come a long way since the early days, when Vote Solar was founded after a San Francisco ballot initiative to put solar on more city rooftops. Our old Golden Gate design signified a bridge to sunnier energy future with a strong nod to those San Francisco roots. As much as we loved this image, we needed a logo that better reflects our current work and our organizational vision.
We are still as focused as ever on turning grassroots support into smart policies that build solar scale. However, thanks to massive reductions in solar costs and successful market growth, the nature and scope of our work is quite different. Today we have 13 staff located in five states working in markets from coast to coast – and we aim to grow from there.
We are honored and excited to be serving more of this incredibly diverse country of ours. The states we work in today run the gamut both in term of their policies and their politics. For us the single important unifying characteristic is that people in these states overwhelmingly want more solar powering their homes, businesses and communities. Our goal is to continue to give solar supporters nationwide a voice in energy policy decision-making. Our new logo represents those figurative votes for solar.
We love our new look, and we hope you do too. Onward!
