Vote Solar 2023 Annual Report
In 2023, Vote Solar continued to lead the charge in accelerating the transition to 100% clean, renewable energy across the United States. From championing bold solar policies to rallying widespread support, our organization made critical strides toward a clean energy future this past year.
Working alongside visionary state and local leaders, we continued to scale up solar energy and phase out fossil fuel plants. Major highlights include:
- Generated 31,390 MW of demand for solar
- Protected 1.4 million solar customers
- Avoided 40.5 million tons of carbon dioxide
- Prevented the construction of 4 gas plants and shut down 9 gas plants
