Farudh Emiel (he/him)

Policy Manager, Access & Equity

Farudh Emiel serves as the Policy Manager, Access & Equity Program for Vote Solar. Within this role, Farudh continues to lead activities that advance equitable clean energy policies at the state level and support BIPOC and frontline communities to expand and improve policies, programs, and funding for clean energy technologies.

As an empowered racial justice organizer of Indo-Indigenous identity, Farudh has spearheaded expansive campaigns to promote equity for multiple mission-driven initiatives such as #DefundNYPD, building mutual-aid networks to combat food inequity, directing communications strategy for Black Liberation, and serving as a thought leader for various political & community entities. Through his craft, Farudh aims to uplift horizontal power by equipping the most marginalized with the tools to dismantle racial capitalism.

Farudh was born in Guyana, and currently resides in New York City with a Masters in Government & Politics and will be returning to the academic arena to obtain his law degree. If Farudh is not fighting for equity, you can find him serving as a cat dad to his two best friends fur-ever, Saturn & Pluto.
